About Us
PWPBN believes that enhancing social, economic and political opportunities for all women is fundamental to a better society. Therefore, our initiatives focus on developing women’s leadership, strengthening women’s business, increasing awareness of available resources and support and fostering new political and economic opportunities for women.
Our Story
PWPBN was established in 2017 by founding Chair Loau Donina Va’a, with the purpose to share, empower and inspire Oceania and Pacific women, to stand as one and pave way for the next generation of female leaders.
“When you’ve worked hard, and done well, and walked through that doorway of opportunity, you do not slam it shut behind you. You reach back, and you give other folks the same chances that helped you succeed.” Profound words by Michelle Obama helped inspire the conception of the network to connect professional and business women. The vision was that collectively, these women would contribute and share their journeys, to empower and inspire the next generation of young Pacific women.
