Celebrating Women Leaders: IWD 2025

In honor of International Women’s Day 2025, we are thrilled to celebrate and acknowledge the incredible contributions of 30 Pacific women leaders.
This is our way of saying “thank you” and shining a light on their strength, resilience, and leadership.

“Lara Va’a is a seasoned and highly respected professional, known for her meticulous attention to detail, credibility, and strategic leadership. With a solid background in marketing, she has held senior roles with global brands including Marketing Coordinator at Lindt Chocolate and Marketing Manager at Nikon, where she drove brand strategy, consumer engagement, and market expansion across diverse audiences.

In 2017, Lara played a foundational role in the establishment of the Pacific Women Professional and Business Network (PWPBN), serving as its first Treasurer. Her contributions were instrumental in shaping the network’s mission to empower Pacific women through collective action, mentorship, and advocacy.

Since 2021, Lara has brought her strengths in coordination and executive support to her role as Executive Assistant at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Samoa, continuing her commitment to service and excellence. She remains an active supporter of PWPBN, contributing to its ongoing impact and visibility.

Lara’s professional journey reflects a rare blend of precision, humility, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others – qualities that make her a quiet yet powerful force in every space she enters”

Stay tuned as we celebrate these inspiring women who continue to shape and lead our communities.
