Tiana Echergery Wins Sports Award at Pacific Awards Night
On September 24th 2025 the 18th Pacific Awards Night, an annual event organised by the NSW Council for Pacific Communities to celebrate the achievements of Pacific Islanders in Australia was held at The Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club.

PWPBN was delighted that their nominee Tiana Echergery, won the Sports Award for her outstanding achievements in boxing. Tiana’s hard work and dedication to her sport earned her this prestigious recognition, and her victory was met with strong support from the audience. PWPBN congratulates Tiana Echergery on her well-deserved win. Her success is a great achievement not only for her but for the entire Pacific Islander community.

A special congratulations to Mal Fruean, the amazing Chair of the NSW Council for Pacific Communities and her team for organising such a fantastic event. Her leadership and dedication made the Pacific Awards Night a resounding success, bringing together the Pacific community ,diginities and leaders for a night of celebration.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event a success. The Pacific Awards Night was a great reminder of the strength and talent within the Pacific community.
